Quality in Development Process for Software Factories According to ISO 15504
نویسندگان
چکیده
Currently the concept of Software Factories (SF), where reuse plays a leading role, is being adopted. Due to the different approaches in this area, and although SF concept is not new in Software Engineering, it is still not mature enough to clearly identify the treatment of certain variables within the process. One of these variables is Quality. Therefore, this paper presents a historical review of the SF concept, proposes an ontology based on the most recent definitions and establishes a relationship between these concepts and the ISO 15504 standard, with the purpose of specifying the systemic quality in software developer companies that decide to implement an SF strategy.

Early results of a comparative evaluation of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 15504 assessment methods applied to a software project
This paper presents early results of a comparative study undertaken on a software project. The methods used for assessment included an ISO 9001 based audit checklist for software (SABS ARP 042), and the emerging ISO/IEC 15504 standard for software process assessment and capability determination. While the two methods focus on different issues, namely quality system compliance to ISO 9001 in the...
متن کاملValidating the ISO/IEC 15504 measure of software requirements analysis process capability - Software Engineering, IEEE Transactions on
ÐISO/IEC 15504 is an emerging international standard on software process assessment. It defines a number of software engineering processes and a scale for measuring their capability. One of the defined processes is software requirements analysis (SRA). A basic premise of the measurement scale is that higher process capability is associated with better project performance (i.e., predictive valid...
متن کاملProcess Quality Levels of ISO/IEC 15504, CMMI and K-model
In the current marketplace, there are maturity models, standards, and guidelines that can help an organization improve the way it does business. Software process assessment models, ISO/IEC 15504 and CMMI provide good strategy to assess organization’s software development capability. However these models are too heavy to apply small and medium enterprise organization. A ISO/IEC 15504(Software Pr...
متن کاملTowards an Agile Process Maturity Model
Agile Methods are a widely applied and feasible alternative to Tayloristic (traditional) Methods for developing high-quality software on a limited schedule. Although Agile Methods are been adopted by various organizations, there still does not exist a well disseminated process maturity model that can satisfactorily guide the improvement and assess the status of agile processes. Currently, there...
متن کاملTailoring Software Process Capability/Maturity Models for Telemedicine Systems
Developing high-quality asynchronous store-and-forward telemedicine systems (ASFTSs) remains a challenge. However, there is no accepted understanding as to what are the important quality characteristics for this type of software system and/or what defines a mature software process for producing high-quality ASTFSs. Through adopting a multi-step research methodology, we define a quality model fo...
